Sterling Holidays – An answer for perfect family holidays

Sterling Holidays have been a pioneer in the travel industry since 1986. No doubt that they have been curating holidays for their guests since then but now they have evolved into a much better platform with added amenities and a drastic change in service style – all for good. They already have a broad network of resorts in India which is an added advantage for their members as they have a wide range of destinations to choose from! All these resorts have undergone a massive makeover – not only in the property façade and rooms but also in their service and offerings. It’s not anymore about just booking the room and roaming around, it’s more about understanding the destination and give a thorough feel of what the place is about to their guests.

Sterling Dindi

Say for example, you book a backwater resort, what all would you do? A boat ride in the backwaters, visit to a nearby beach and probably visit some temples. Right? But, when you do the same with Sterling, in their Dindi property, which is located in Andhra Pradesh on the banks of Godavari; Apart from a luxurious, comfortable stay and all the above activities, we can get to know about how they make Pootharekulu , which is the specialty of the place or catch a fish directly from the river and get it cooked by the chef or learn more about the hand loom weaving in Dindi.

This is how Sterling is different from its peers, hence perfectly suiting their new tagline ‘Holiday Differently!

Raja Rex – an attraction for kids

Sterling Holiday’s new discovery mascot, Raja Rex is a charmer. Raja Rex will be an instant hit with kids who will find a friend in this cute Dino guiding them to different experiences and a memorable stay. An interesting story why this mascot was chosen goes like this – ‘Rajasaurus’ was the only dinosaur to be excavated in the Narmada Valley in India. So the ‘Raja’ comes from ‘Rajasaurus’ and Rex is for the peppy feel! Isn’t he just adorable??

Curated experiences

Sterling Kufri

As I mentioned earlier, Sterling Holidays have revamped their strategy and concentrating more on a wholesome experiential stay for their guests. Allowing them to discover unseen alleys and creating memories that last for a lifetime. It might be a trek to the nearby hill, or a walk in private beach, or visit to a heritage sight in a new light, or star gazing or head into a tea trail, tracing the path which tea takes before ending up in that tea box. Experiences is what matters at the end of a holiday isn’t it??

Holiday Insurance

Sterling Dindi

Another unique concept unveiled by Sterling was ‘Holiday Insurance’. From the moment you leave your house until you come back, be stress free as your insurance is completely covered by Sterling! Isn’t that just fab? Also, this is the first time I’ve heard of such a concept for insurance even for domestic holidays!

Plans for further expansion

With this re branding, be it the new logo or the tagline ‘Holiday differently’ which is what Sterling aims at doing. Not only this, they are planning to expand and diversify by adding more destinations. And what I was impressed in was the fact that Sterling isn’t just present in the ‘famous’ destinations but also in offbeat destinations. Like Dindi, Karwar, Kufri, Anaikatti and also in some International destinations! They also have planned to scale up to 50 destinations which simply means more places to visit! 🙂

Mr. Peshwa Archarya, CMO of Sterling, at the event

Listening to all this from Mr. Peshwa Acharya, CMO of Sterling, in a blogger event organised by Thrillophila and Sterling Holidays was indeed informative and an eye opener about so many new destinations and different experiences.
